Grasslands Flower Co. was founded by Melissa Wenzel in Calgary, Alberta, as a celebration of the beauty found in the wild and natural world. Melissa’s love for flowers began in childhood, growing up in the grasslands of Alberta where she developed a deep admiration for all things untamed. Her creative journey led her to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting in 2013, and after university, she turned her focus toward nurturing life through flowers and plants.

With over a decade of experience as a florist, gardener, and designer in the wedding industry, Melissa’s work is guided by the rhythm of the seasons. At Grasslands, we prioritize sustainability and source locally grown blooms whenever possible. Each arrangement is crafted with intention, artistry, and a careful eye for detail — designed to reflect your vision and bring the beauty of nature into every space.
